Description
Sinupret syrup is a medicinal product based on herbal extracts that help dissolve and expel mucus. It is used for sinusitis and respiratory tract infections. Contains liquid extracts of gentian, primrose, sorrel, elderberry, and vervain. The product suitably complements and supports antibacterial treatment and is intended for adults, adolescents and children from 2 years of age.
When to take Sinupret?
- runny nose, stuffy nose
- Nasal congestion
- Face or head pain when bending forward
- Feeling of pressure in the face, especially around the nose
Dosage
Children 2-5 years: 2.1 ml of syrup 3 times a day. Children 6-11 years: 3.5 ml of syrup 3 times a day. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 7 ml of syrup 3 times a day. Sinupret syrup is taken 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening) undiluted or mixed with a little water. Sinupret syrup can be taken with food, drink or between meals. Patients with sensitive stomachs are advised to take Sinupret syrup after meals. Shake well before use!
Unless otherwise prescribed, the duration of use is 7-14 days. If you do not feel better by then or if you get worse, you need to consult a doctor. Patients with chronic sinusitis, nasal and respiratory tract infections should only take this product after consulting a doctor.
Composition
100 ml (equivalent to 121 g) of syrup contains 41.7 g of extract (as liquid extract) (1:38.5) of 1.1 g of mixture of Gentiana lutea L., radix (gentian root), Primula veris L, and/or Primula elatior (L.) Hill, floscum calycibus (primrose flower), Rumex sp., herba (sorrel leaves), Sambucus nigra L., flos (elderberry flower) and Verbena officinalis L., herba (vervain leaves) (1/3/3/3/3). First extraction solvent: ethanol 59% (V/V). Second to fourth extraction solvent: purified water.
Excipients with known effect: ethanol 8% (V/V) (extract component), maltitol solution. Other ingredients are: purified water (extract components), artificial cherry flavouring (contains lactic acid, triacetin, propylene glycol, fruit concentrate and ethanol).
Sinupret syrup contains 8% vol. alcohol, i.e. up to 0.44 g of alcohol in 7 ml, which corresponds to 11.0 ml of beer, 4.6 ml of wine. Sinupret syrup contains a solution of maltitol, which may have a mild laxative effect.
