Description
The purple fruits of the inconspicuous Myrciaria dubia, known as Camu Camu in Peru, contain high levels of vitamin C and are extremely rich in phenolic substances (eg ellagic acid, cyanidine-3-glycoside, quercetin) or carotenoids (eg lutein, beta) carotene, luteoxanthin). Their disadvantage is that they are perishable quickly and therefore do not reach our tables when fresh. The fruits are carefully processed to form a powder that preserves the maximum amount of nutrients.
Composition:
Each capsule contains 333 mg of Camu Camu fruit extract and selected combinations of vitamins and trace elements: 40 mg of vitamin C, which is very useful due to its natural origin, 5 mg of zinc, 2.5 µg of vitamin D3 and 28 µg of selenium. A single capsule thus covers half the daily reference intake of all these vitamins and trace elements.
Recommended daily dose:
1 capsule per day. The capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.
